The cluster at Yeditepe University is made up of 1 head node, 7 compute nodes, each has dual CPU’s of 24, each node has 48 cores and 2 storage nodes, all with an InfiniBand interconnect. On the two storage nodes, BeeGFS is installed in buddy mirror, metadata on PCIe NVMe disks, and storage targets on spinning disks. Whilst Eduline deployed the solution, their team of BeeGFS certified engineers continues to provide 1st and 2nd level support to Yeditepe University whilst 3rd level support is carried out by ThinkParQ.
Read MoreTurkish systems integrator, Eduline, was chosen by IYTE to carry out the project and provide service support. Eduline proposed that the solution include Dell PowerEdge R720 and PowerEdge R620 servers. Eduline also sought a software solution to overarch the virtual environment and provide a single pane of glass interface that all departments could access, and chose the Bright infrastructure management solution. By selecting Bright, configuration and management of the infrastructure was far easier, giving the university departments more time to compute, and enabling research to be carried out more efficiently.
Read MoreEduline created an HPC environment based on Dell hardware, and once again, Eduline chose the Bright infrastructure management solution to centralise the provisioning, monitoring and management of all clusters, from a single user interface. The Eduline professional services team took responsibility for the design, build and deployment of the HPC InfiniBand project.
